One frequent question asked by patient when they come to the hospital

"Daktari Niko na nhif lakini cjakua nkilipa kwa muda hii. Cardi itanisaidia ? "

Usually if u have not been paying For nhif for one year you can only start making payments again afresh and wait for 60 days so that ur card is valid

Example Kimani Mbogo mbogu has Nhif card , he got it 2020 January

Paid for 3 months months ( March 2020) and stopped paying due to financial constraints

He comes to the hospital for treatment today 24 may 2021

(That is after one year and 2 months )

Few facts He cannot be treated with the card !

He should now start paying for the card afresh

The card will take 2 months ( 60 days ) to be valid

He should not pay the one year 2 months cash bills (Reason he has staid for a whole year without having paid for nhif )
